AUGUST

Parker wouldn't leave me alone while I was practicing some different settings on my camera, so she became the subject :).
Parker
(Scarlett)  Just about every Saturday this summer was spent outside getting something done.  It's been nice that the babies are old enough that my sisters can keep an eye on them for us during things that have needed 4 grown-ups.
The twins often take a cat nap on the couch on days they are exhausted.  They don't take a formal nap anymore.  And yes, they are still needy crying monsters...I only say this because one just hit my enter button 5 times while the other is climbing up my body trying to put her hand in my shirt.  Sigh.
It was later than we were hoping, but we finally ordered our chicks and received them the first week in August.  The chicken coop took longer than expected, but it turned out really nice and secure and LARGE.  Only one chick died while they were in their first week.  We have 15 now, mostly hens.  They stayed in the house for about 4 weeks in a swimming pool, and now have been outside for a week.  Everyone has enjoyed watching them grow.  Hopefully in Spring, we will start getting eggs and babies!
Grandma Weber sent us "Christmas in July" presents.  She lives in Florida now.  Brooklyn thought her authentic alligator head was the most awesome.  It sits on her dresser now :).
