JELLY BELLIES AND DINOSAURS

This last Saturday we went to the Jelly Belly Factory and some museums nearby. All of these activities were free by the way (well, minus all the Jelly Bellies we bought). At the factory they take you on a 'tour' of the 'factory' in a 'train' (a.k.a. they take you around a warehouse in golf carts strung together that look like a train). We knew that already though and still wanted to try it. Brooke seemed to like it. There are also a group of 3 museums in Kenosha about 10 minutes from the factory that one of my friends told me about to help make the drive to the factory more worthwhile. So we went to the dinosaur one; which interestingly enough has the largest collection of theropods in the world, but that's all they have, so it's rather small. Theropods are basically meat-eating dinosaurs that walked on two legs (for those of you that don't watch "Dinosaur Train" on PBS everyday :) ). At the Public museum, Brooke enjoyed the taxidermy animals and the mammoth skeleton. For her movie the next day, she chose to watch "Ice Age" because we had talked about how the mammoth was like Manny. I still don't know who these people are that say kids shouldn't watch T.V....she learns so much and makes so many connections between things that she

never could from anything else.
