The Dells....a weekend I won't forget! It was a good weekend (thanks, Mom and Dad!) and Brooke's 5th birthday, but I'll never forget it because it was the day after we found out that we were having twins! We felt so many emotions those next few days; it was just a constant high. The Dells was a lot of fun otherwise too, lots of good food and company. The kids were exhausted by the end of the weekend (it didn't help that Miss Brooke was so excited she woke up at 5 am each morning....yikes, not cool)! Brooke's birthday happened to fall on the weekend that worked for everyone, so we celebrated while we were there. You can tell by her face in the pictures that she was super happy.
She was definitely spoiled.
Some things we'll miss from 4 year old Brooke...
- Teaching you how to read and watching your excitement grow as you realized the things you could read and write all by yourself.
- How you would say that you knew something because of your "spider-sense." An infamous quote from you, "Mom, my spider sense tells me that this drawer is broken and that Kaydence did it." Hmmmm.
- Your excitement for a baby to come....for awhile you would giggle every time you would pray for the baby. You can imagine how thrilled you were to find out there were two!
- The names Flower and Rosalita being used in every imaginary play you had. You and Kaydence thought they'd be good names for the new babies, we definitely didn't indulge that idea with you, lol!
- Your favorite things to play with were Barbies or super heroes. Favorite shows/movies were Avengers or X-men, Tangled, and Lion King 2.
