Brooke "high" on a little cocktail of meds they gave her to relax. She was so funny...saying things like, "I farted!" and cracking up laughing!

Brooke's surgery couldn't have gone better. After all the preparation (James getting the day off, cancelling all daycare kids, pre-op appointments, etc.), we were worried 2 days before when she woke up with a fever that it would have to be cancelled. We had a good friend come over and help Jimmy give her a blessing. Her fever broke in the night, and she went into surgery being fever free for 24 hrs. We were so grateful for that blessing, especially considering Kaydence got the same bug and had a fever for 4 days. Brooke ended up having great nurses and phlebotomists the day of surgery. I LOVE her Otolaryngologist.... he's in-shape, energetic, and also specialized in plastic surgery (i.e. Brooke will barely have a scar). It turned out that it wasn't a thyroglossal duct cyst, so the surgery was short and did not require any of the bone to be removed or having a drainage tube. Dr. Rogerson came out after only 30 minutes and said, you can go home in an hour when we were expecting to stay the night.
So grateful.
